Tuition and Fees

Since the fall of 2012, out-of-state online master’s students qualify for reduced market rate tuition, which offers a substantial savings. Tuition and fees are subject to change yearly. Each August the University Board of Trustees determines tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year. For the most up to date information on tuition and fees, visit the FSU Office of Distance Learning page.

When to pay

Tuition and fees must be paid in full, or have arranged to be paid, by the fee payment deadline. To learn the exact deadline for each semester:

  • Visit the Registrar’s website.
  • Choose Academic Calendar and then the appropriate semester.
  • Scroll down and look for the wording: “Last day to pay or defer fees without a $100 late fee.”

Financial Aid

Students who are taking 6 semester hours or more are eligible for financial aid. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The website also provides financial aid information pertaining to the University.

Payment

Direct Payment

If you are paying tuition and fees from your own pocket, you may make payments either on line or with a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check for the full amount of fees due.

Payments must be received by the close of business on the fee payment deadline of the semester to avoid a $100 late fee. For more details on the methods of payments and deadline dates, click here.

Third Party Payment

Students who have an employer or agency (e.g., the Navy) paying their tuition are required to submit the following documents to the Office of Student Financial Services by the fifth day of each semester.

  • Agency/Third Party Billing form
  • Letter of Authorization from the agency that is paying your tuition

A printable version of the billing form is available here. Submit both the form and the letter to:
