FSU administrators have approved the implementation of the 3+3 program, an accelarated program jointly administered by the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice and the FSU College of Law. The program allows qualified students to receive their bachelor’s degree from Criminology and juris doctorate degree from the College of Law in just six years.

Criminology undergraduate students who gain admission into the J.D. program through the 3+3 program will follow the usual prescribed course of study for full-time, first-year law students during their senior year of undergraduate studies. Upon successful completion of the first semester of law school, the credits earned will be transferred toward the undergraduate degree to meet FSU’s requirements for completion of the bachelor’s degree.

The J.D. degree will be awarded upon successful completion of the required 88 total course credits in the law school and of all other J.D. requirements.
