Jennifer Lynne Holmes, MSW, M.S., a College of Criminology and Criminal Justice Ph.D. student, recently received the ASC’s Division of Victimology (DOV) Best Graduate Student Paper award for 2015.

The award winning article, “Campus Sexual Assault: A Systematic Review of Prevalence Research From 2000 to 2015,” has been published online in the journal Trauma, Violence, & Abuse and will be published in the print version of the journal in the upcoming months.

Ms. Holmes conducted the systematic review while participating in the National Institute of Justice Research Assistantship Program in Washington, D.C.

The best part of receiving the award, explained Ms. Holmes, is the increased exposure the award brought to the research.

“This was a chance to have the paper recognized and acknowledged by some of the top victimologists in the field and get the work we are doing out to a wider audience, specifically within the field of victimology,” said Ms. Holmes.
