This pathway provides academically talented undergraduate students the opportunity* to expeditiously complete both degrees.
- Count up to 12 graduate credit hours toward your bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
- Take 12 graduate credit hours as an undergraduate and earn your master’s with just one additional year of coursework.
- Recieve tuition assistance from the College for 1st graduate course taken as an undergraduate student.
- Explore graduate coursework as an undergraduate student and ease the transition to graduate school.
* Combined bachelor’s/master’s pathway students must still be officially accepted into the graduate program by submitting a formal application to graduate school during the last semester of their senior year.
Eligibility Requirements
- Current student majoring or double majoring in Criminology
- Minimum 3.5 overall and FSU GPA
- 90 credit hours of completed coursework
- Proven academic ability to meet new challenges of graduate work
Enrollment Procedures
- Meet with the Graduate Program Administrator who will determine your eligibility.
- Review and search for the graduate-level courses you wish to take.
- The Graduate Program Administrator will work with the Registrar’s Office to enroll you in the courses if approved.

Note: Transfer of graduate courses not counted toward a previous degree from another regionally accredited graduate school (or comparable international institution) is limited to six semester hours, and transfer of graduate courses not counted toward a previous degree within Florida State University is limited to twelve semester hours, except when the departmental course requirement exceeds the thirty hour University-wide minimum requirement. In the latter case, additional transfer credit may be allowed to the extent of the additional required hours. In all cases, the majority of credit must be earned through Florida State University or its official consortial institutions. All transfer credit must: l) be recommended by the major department; 2) be evaluated as graduate work by the Records Audit and Analysis in the Office of the University Registrar at Florida State University; and 3) have been completed with grades of 3.0 (“B”) or better.
