The Co-Directors of the Policing, Security Technology, and Private Security Research & Policy Institute want to deliver the work of the Institute through an on-demand podcast.
The Community Safety Web podcast, hosted by the father/son duo of Darrel and Brian Stephens, was created to promote the Institute within the fast-growing world of on-demand audio.
The podcast publishes a new 30-minute episode each month, discussing a variety of policing and private security topics curated by Brian and Darrel.

FSU Criminology Faculty Ranked No. 1 In the Nation for Research Productivity and Scholarly Influence
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ¾ The Journal of Criminal Justice Education (February 2023) published an article that provides a quantitative assessment of article productivity and influence among faculty in criminology and criminal justice doctoral programs in the United States from 2015-2021.

Daniel Mears, Mark C. Stafford Professor of Criminology and Distinguished Research Professor, recently served as guest editor for a Criminal Justice Reform special issue of the American Journal of Criminal Justice.

The Co-Directors of the Aging Adult Fraud Research & Policy Institute, Dr. Thomas G. Blomberg and Dr. Julie Brancale recently appeared on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Talk About Payments Webinar to discuss financial exploitation of aging adults.
Topics covered in the presentation included an overview of the aging adult population in the United States, a discussion on why the current generation of aging adults is unique from prior generations, and the next steps for evidence-based policies and practices to confront financial exploitation of aging adults.
