The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice is pleased to announce that Ph.D. student, Julie Kuper, has been honored with the Graduate Student Paper of the Year award from the American Society of Criminology (ASC) Division of Victimology.

The College is pleased to announce that Daniel P. Mears, Mark C. Stafford Professor of Criminology, is the recipient of the 2020 Distinguished Scholar Award from the American Society of Criminology’s Division of Corrections and Sentencing.

The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice regrets to announce the passing of alumnus, University patron, and 2012 Hall of Fame Award Recipient, Mr. Jerry Glass.

College of Criminology & Criminal Justice Assistant Professor Jillian Turanovic was recently honored by the University with an Undergraduate Teaching Award.

The College is pleased to announce that Marin Wenger is the recipient of the 2020 Robert J. Bursik Junior Scholar Award. The award recognizes the best paper published, online or in print, by American Society of Criminology members.

College of Criminology & Criminal Justice alumna, Dr. Miltonette Craig was recently recognized as a 2020 Emerging Scholar by Diverse Issues in Higher Education. Dr. Craig was one of only 15 scholars in the nation named to the prestigious list.

The College is pleased to announce that Brendan Lantz is the recipient of the 2020 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) Victimology Section New Scholar Award.

The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice was recently honored with top rankings for its online master’s degree program and its campus master’s degree program.

College of Criminology & Criminal Justice Assistant Professor Kyle McLean was recently selected as a member of the 2019 NIJ Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Sciences (LEADS) Academics program.

The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice had nine students graduate from the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy on June 11.
The criminology student graduates included Faith Azure, Nicholas Hernandez, Nathan Mageau, Adrian Malave, Ben Mancini, Thomas Pustizzi, Robert Roddy, Garrett Swier, and Autumn Veres.
