The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice was recently honored with two top ten rankings for its online bachelor’s degree. The College’s online bachelor’s degree was ranked No. 5 among Best Online Bachelor’s Criminology Degrees and No. 7 among Best Online Bachelor’s Law Enforcement Degrees for value by Guide to Online Schools.
The College is pleased to announce that Marin Wenger is the recipient of the 2020 Robert J. Bursik Junior Scholar Award. The award recognizes the best paper published, online or in print, by American Society of Criminology members.
On Friday, March 6, students in Dr. Julie Brancale’s Introduction to Criminal Justice class were visited by Florida Senator Keith Perry, Chair of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee. Sen. Perry spoke with the class about several bills proposed during this year’s legislative session that were focused on criminal justice reform.
On Feb. 13, Dean Blomberg and Center for Criminology & Public Policy Research Co-Director Julie Brancale presented their research on the financial exploitation of aging adults to members of the University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).
College of Criminology & Criminal Justice alumna, Dr. Miltonette Craig was recently recognized as a 2020 Emerging Scholar by Diverse Issues in Higher Education. Dr. Craig was one of only 15 scholars in the nation named to the prestigious list.
