This fall, the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice is pleased to welcome three new assistant professors, Young-An Kim, Kyle McLean, and Steven Zane.

There are more than 18,000 police agencies in the United States. About 86 percent of them employ fewer than 25 officers. These agencies are often seen as training ground for larger departments who can afford more sophisticated recruiting and stronger compensation packages.

A study conducted by the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice is currently being featured in an article by the London School of Economics (LSE).

Dr. George Pesta, the College of Criminology & Criminal Justice Veteran Liaison, was honored by the Florida State University Student Veterans Center with the 2018 Guidon Award.

The College is pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel P. Mears, Mark C. Stafford Professor of Criminology has just been named a Fellow of the American Society of Criminology (ASC).

Research conducted by Criminology & Criminal Justice PhD student, Joonggon Kim, was recently featured on PsyPost, a psychology and neuroscience news website that is dedicated to reporting the latest research on human behavior, cognition, and society.

Pondera Solutions, a California based technology company, has recently expanded its Tallahassee office as it looks to grow its ongoing partnership with the College’s Internship Program.

More than 200 attendees gathered on Westcott Plaza Friday, March 23, to dedicate the College’s newly established Fallen Officer Memorial, which honors eight college alumni who have died in the line of duty.
