The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice is now accepting scholarship applications for Fall 2020-Spring 2021.
The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice Student Leadership Council (SLC) recently held a donation drive for inmates of the Gadsden County Jail. At the SLC’s Fall General Body Meeting, the organization collected feminine hygiene products and travel size toiletry products for inmates of the Gadsden County Jail, as well as laptops for their children. The items were donated by attendees of the meeting.
The College of Criminology & Criminal Justice was recently honored with two top ten rankings for its online bachelor’s degree. The College’s online bachelor’s degree was ranked No. 5 among Best Online Bachelor’s Criminology Degrees and No. 7 among Best Online Bachelor’s Law Enforcement Degrees for value by Guide to Online Schools.
On Friday, March 6, students in Dr. Julie Brancale’s Introduction to Criminal Justice class were visited by Florida Senator Keith Perry, Chair of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee. Sen. Perry spoke with the class about several bills proposed during this year’s legislative session that were focused on criminal justice reform.
College of Criminology & Criminal Justice alumna, Dr. Miltonette Craig was recently recognized as a 2020 Emerging Scholar by Diverse Issues in Higher Education. Dr. Craig was one of only 15 scholars in the nation named to the prestigious list.

This Friday, Sept. 27 marks the beginning of FSU’s Family Weekend. Visiting family members are invited to visit Student Services in Eppes Hall for complimentary refreshments on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A new study conducted by College Assistant Professor Dr. Marin Wenger and College Doctoral Candidate Javier Ramos has found that immigrants who have committed a felony and been released from prison in Florida are significantly less likely to reoffend by committing another felony than their nonimmigrant peers.
